For the Just Us Girls Challenge #85 - Use colors BLACK, WHITE and YOUR CHOICE!
I love black and yellow together, and spring is just around the corner, so dandelions and bees come to mind.
Also linking this to NBUS-Never-Before-Used Schtuff since this is the first time I've used either of the stamps.

I support our troops
Linking this card up to 2 challenges:
Operation Write Home - Mid month challenge - Red White and Blue
Shopping Our Stash #193 - I Made This - Make your own background
I used the Inka Gold product; red, blue, and platinum and swirled it around on white card stock. I mounted it on blue, added the red tag, blue heat embossed heart with stars from Hero Arts Operation Write Home Year Round Sentiments, added some red/white/blue twine anchored with a blue enamel star, and the sticker is from Sticko.
I'll use this one for an Any Hero card in my next box that goes to Operation Write Home.

Green Balloons
I've been away and have also been on a mission to make a gift so my card making has suffered. I went to see my daughter and family in OH and there are some great stores in her area, so I did what any "normal" paper lover would do....I shopped. Does everyone hit every craft and scrap store when they are on a trip? One of the things I was looking for was a balloon die, and I found this one. This is my first try using it.
I am CAS challenged. I like layers upon layers upon layers. I love embossing. So I am challenging myself to keep it clean and simple! I think it's quite cute. It's all I can do to not cut some patterned paper and layer the balloons. :-)
Saw this challenge at Addicted to CAS-Challenge #59 - GREEN
I think this would make a great spring Birthday card too, so I'm linking it up to Cards in Envy-Spring is in the Air challenge.
Also linking this to a new site my friend Bobbi sent me...Never-Before-Used Schtuff

Washi Tape Bandaids
Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers Challenge - A is for Accident - Make a Get well card
A is for Accident ....Wasn't that a book by Sue Grafton? Oh, no I think that was A is for Alibi.
I have all this Washi Tape and can never figure out what to do with it. CASEing Bobbi's bandaid card, I wondered...can I make a bandaid from Washi Tape? I think it works! I put strips of Washi Tape on some heavy white cardstock, then cut it out and used the corner rounder on the edges. Then I thought, wait, I need some of those little tiny rectangle bandaids that always end up left in the box, because who needs a bandaid that small, so I made a couple of them. It needed some pop, so I added a few colored brads. I used VersaMark and embossing powder on the sentiment and heat set it. The dots on the orange paper are kind of enameled and shiny. Great paper! Love this mat stack.

Diamond Plate
For the SOS #190: Out of the Jar challenge. This week's theme is Out of the Jar and we need to use something that came out of a jar. Almost everything on this card "came out of a jar". The twine is stored in a glass jar, the brads are stored in a plastic jar, the Inka Gold is in a jar, and so is the Chalk Powder.
I am always trying to find ways to make masculine cards to send to Operation Write Home. I think this is a good one that a guy could send to a friend, a gal could sent to a guy friend, etc.
After embossing the base layer with a Diamond Plate folder, I inked it up with Inka gold, then I dabbed the edges with the Inka Gold product so it would stand out more. I think maybe I need to put a bit more on it now that I look at the picture. Actually went back to add more silver edges, but it's already there....it's just the picture that isn't so great! The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark then rubbed with the chalk powder.

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs
Dogs, dogs, dogs - linking to Cards in Envy Puppy Love Challenge
As I watched my 10 year old rescue pup, Sadie, playing outside in the snow along the fence with the neighbors visiting dog, a giant of a golden retriever, I was inspired to make a dog card....not that I need any inspiration to make dog cards! This is from a new stamp set I got a week or two ago and I love it!
but it needs more, I think....
so then I figured a dog needs a bone....
