Hedgehugs

Challenges Entered:
Words to Scrap by - do something different
Less is More - Little ones

Since I am new to stamping and cardmaking, everything I do is something new and something different.  Some techniques make me want to pull my hair out! With my new favorite stamp/die combo (I only have 2 of these so it was hard to choose my favorite) from Lawn Fawn, I lightly ran the medium brown paper through the Big Shot using The Paper Studio woodgrain embossing folder then I stamped the images with black ink.  I now find out I should have done the stamping first then the embossing, but oh well...I'm learning!  I then stamped the image with black StazOn ink.  Paper is from Hampton Art Ki Argyle 6x6 pad. Lime Green Brad from Michaels. Hedgehogs and hearts are popped up a bit.

So I can't just do one, right?  Not sure which is my favorite.  All the same techniques, paper and embellishments.

  1. I don't know which one I favor either because I really like both of them. This crafting/ card making hobby is a never ending learning experience. I have been doing this for some nine years now and I still learning something just about daily. That is a great thing about following different blogs, they is so much out there to soak up. Enjoy your day.

  2. These are sweet cards Diana... welcome to the world of card-making!
For the challenges at 'Less is More' all submissions need to be Clean and Simple which is a specifically uncluttered genre of design. There are a few Guidelines on our side bar which may help you.
The main thing we love to see is 'white space' which is an area of the card with no designer paper, image or embellishment. We'd love to see you submit regularly to our challenges and if you visit some of the other participants there is much inspiration to be gained!
You are going to love the world you are entering!
    Welcome!
Thanks so much for joining us!

  3. Diana these are really sweet cards but as Chrissie says they don't really follow our CAS guidelines for Less is More. Do hope you'll play again soon.
    Many thanks

Wow! You have used so many different techniques in these two cards. Looks like you're taking to this new hobby like a fish takes to water. Nice job! :)
